Hospital beds are essential facilities in residential care homes, which are equipped with adjustable functions to minimize the risk of injury when elderly people get into and out of bed.

Most of the beds in the Caritas Elderly Service Homes have been in use for more than 10 years. Due to frequent use, some of the beds are worn out and damaged beyond repair. This will affect the safety of the elderly and lower the quality of care of the RCHEs in the long run.

In view of this, the Foundation replaced a total of 104 sets of electric hospital beds and mattresses in the 7 homes under the Caritas Elderly Service, so that the frail and declining elderly could enjoy their twilight years in a comfortable environment with safe service facilities.
